短歌集『砂丘の魚』というタイトルから、図画工作の時間にやっていたスパッタリング（エアブラシのような表現）をなぜか思い出し、その手法で魚の形を表現した。カバーをめくると 反転した魚の形が現れてくる。

For some reason the title of this tanka (short poem) collection, “Sakyu no uo”, which means “fish of the dunes”, reminded us of sputtering (an airbrush-like technique), so we used sputtering to depict a fish. Flipping open the cover reveals an inverted fish.
