There has been a proposal to build a road through Shimokitazawa. If built, the road, Urban Subsidiary Route 54, would split the area in two, ruining the charm of the neighborhood. A movement called the “Save the Shimokitazawa” movement was created to oppose the project, and we participated as a designer. The movement’s concept of “Don’t build a road through the neighborhood, don’t bring cars into the neighborhood” was visually conveyed through this logo.
